GUIDED TOUR OF THE SPECIAL EXHIBITION “BIRTHE & THE BEATLES”
In a teenager’s bedroom in Southern Jutland, Birthe is sitting. Like many others her age, she is a huge fan of The Beatles during the 1960s. What she doesn’t know yet, however, is that she will actually end up being one of the fans who gets up close and personal with the four young men from Liverpool. In 1968, Birthe travels to London, and for her, this marks the beginning of a whole new adventure within the inner circle of Beatles fans. Join us on a journey back to the 1960s—when songs like “Hey Jude,” “Come Together,” and “Let It Be” blared from the speakers in teenagers’ bedrooms, fans screamed themselves hoarse at the band’s concerts, and entirely new ways of being a fan were born.
Duration: 1 hour
Price: 850 DKK (excluding admission tickets)
Max: 25 people.
TV-2
Step inside TV-2’s recording studio. Throughout the ’90s and early 2000s, this studio served as the home base and creative workshop for the band TV-2. It was right here that some of Danish pop music’s biggest hits were created, and now you have the chance to get up close and personal. You’ll also embark on a journey through the history of sound recording in the quest for that perfect sound. From the raw and crackling recordings in bathrooms and garages to the polished sound of the biggest recording studios.

MUSICON – the neighborhood that once housed a concrete factory but has, since 2008, evolved into a new, exciting, and attractive area in Roskilde. The old industrial buildings blend with world-class new architecture – today, the area is home to businesses, associations, cultural organizations, and green spaces. In 2016, the Rock Museum opened at Rabalderstræde 16 in Musicon. The iconic building, clad in gold pyramids, was designed by the Danish architectural firm COBE and the Dutch firm MVRDV. The museum’s red foyer serves as the starting point for a guided tour of Musicon, where, over the course of 60 minutes, we learn about the vision behind Musicon, pass by residences, businesses, and cultural institutions—and hear stories about everything from street names and the skate park with its hand-stamped concrete to the halls.
